To: Two Angels
Subject: Guardian Angels

KH: Wow! Where did you two come from?
Angel #1: Well, we came from Heaven but we’ve been with you every second since Feb. 9, 1969. You just couldn’t see us.
KH: That’s the day I was born again into God’s family!
Angel #2: That is correct. God assigned us to you on that day because you became an heir of salvation (Hebrews 1:14). He assigns each of His heirs a guardian.
Angel #1: Some special cases, like you, get two. I think it’s because of the way you drive. We’ve even had to call in extra angels a few times.

KH: Sorry about that. So, who are you anyway?
Angel #1: My name is Hark and this is Harold. God gave us those names when He put us on your case. He said you have a warped sense of humor and would think it is funny but we can’t see anything funny about it.
KH: What! That’s hilarious! Tell God I get it and love it and thanks.

Hark: Done.
KH: You told Him that fast?
Hark: We always watch the Father’s face (Matthew 18:10) and obey His commands instantly.
Harold: And cheerfully! We delight to do His will! (Psalm 40:8)
KH: So you two are my guardian angels. That’s cool. Does that mean you are sort of like genies and I can get anything I wish for?
Hark: Ah… no. We don’t much care what you want. We keep really close contact with God and do what He says. Sometimes He tells us to step back and let Satan get to you for some bigger purpose God is working on (Job 1:12; Job 2:6; Luke 13:16; Luke 22:31; I Corinthians 5:5; II Corinthians 12:7; I Timothy 1:20). It won’t do you any good to pray to us for a thing. God knows just what you need (Romans 8:28; Matthew 6:8; Philippians 4:19). Let Him know what you want (Psalm 37:4; Matthew 7:7; Matthew 21:22) not us.
KH: So, exactly what are you guys?
Hark: God told you in His Word. We are spirit beings (Hebrews 1:14). Psalm 104:4 says we are spirits. That’s why you’ve never seen us before today.
Harold: It also describes us as a “flaming fire.” Hebrew 1:7 says, “Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.”
Hark: You read where “the angel of the Lord appeared unto Moses in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush;” (Exodus 3:2) and the angel appeared to Gideon (Judges 6:11-22) and touched the rock and made the fire rise up to consume the offering didn’t you?
KH: Yes, I see quite a few times where angels are associated with fire or wind (Judges 13:19-21; Ezekiel 1:13; Daniel 10:4-6; Revelation 14:18).
Hark: God also associates us with stars quite often (Judges 4:15; Judges 5:20; Job 38:7; Revelation 9:1-2; Revelation 1:16-20).
Harold: So, the best way to describe us to your very limited mind would be to just say that we are spirits.
KH: When and where did you originate?
Hark: God’s Word contains all that He wants you know about these things. He told the world clearly that “in six days the Lord made Heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is” (Exodus 20:11).
KH: I guess that would include you then, wouldn’t it?
Hark: See, Harold, there is hope for this one! I told you that He can be taught.
Harold: I see that. It takes a while for some things but God is patient (Jonah 4:2).

KH: It’s a good thing for me, that He is!
Hark: You have no clue how true that is!
KH: So, if you were made in those same six days, which day was it?
Hark: Read Job 38:4-7.
KH: It says the “sons of God shouted for joy,” when they saw God lay “the foundations of the earth.”
Harold: That took place on day three when the dry land appeared (Genesis 1:9).

KH: So you were all made in the first two days.
Hark: Very good! The first thing we saw was the earth when it was just a big ball of water.

Harold: That’s why ol’ fallen Lucifer, who is now the father of lies (John 8:44), has his followers believing everything “evolved” from a water covered earth. That’s the first thing he saw too.
KH: Was he evil from the first day?
Hark: Oh, no! He was beautiful, powerful, and perfect from the day he was created (Ezekiel 28:12-17). He was the “anointed cherub that covereth” (Ezekiel 28:14). He was a very special angel. He loved singing God’s praises and watching Adam and Eve praise God every day in the Garden of Eden (Ezekiel 28:13).
KH: What happened?
Harold: His heart was lifted up with pride because of his beauty, riches, power, and wisdom (Ezekiel 28:17). It was about 100 years after the creation when he sinned.
KH: Those are the same four things that cause lots of people to fall too!
Hark: You have no clue how many we have seen fall over the centuries because of those same things! You would think that people would catch on to his wicked devices after a while (II Corinthians 2:11), but you humans are pretty slow.
KH: Sorry abut that. My friend, Frank Peretti, writes great books about you guys.
Hark: He’s another special case that takes more than one angel most of the time!
KH: I’ll tell him.
Harold: Oh! He already knows!
KH: So how many angels are there?
Harold: More than you could ever count in a million life times.
KH: Daniel said he saw ten thousand times ten thousand standing before God’s throne (Daniel 7:10). That’s over 100,000,000! Then John said in Revelations 5:10 that there are even more than that!
Hark: Those are just the ones they could see. God made plenty to accomplish His will both in Heaven and on earth (Matthew 6:10).

KH: The Romans had between 3,000 and 6,000 per legion in their armies. Could Jesus have really called twelve legions of angels to help Him (Matthew 26:53)? because that’s a lot of angels!
Hark: Yes! And they would have been there in less than half a heartbeat!
Harold: We would drop anything to do God’s will—and especially that day! It was a great mystery to us why the Creator had to become a human and die (I Peter 1:12).
KH: I’m sure glad He finished the job on the cross (John 19:30)! I’d be in serious trouble if I didn’t have His blood to cleanse my sins! (I John 1:7)
Hark: You have no clue how true that is! (Hebrews 10:27, 31)
KH: If you guys are angels, why do you look like normal humans?
Hark: We can take on any body God wants us to. Most of the time we are invisible.
Harold: We sometimes make it where only some can see us. One angel appeared to Balaam’s donkey (Numbers 22:22-35), but Balaam couldn’t see him at first. Another time the prophet Elisha could see all of us protecting him, but his servant couldn’t until God opened his eyes to see the spirit world around him (II Kings 6:8-17).
KH: Is there really a spirit world around us all the time?
Hark: All the time. It’s more real than the world you live in. You’ll get to see it one day.
Harold: Soon, if you don’t slow down on the highway!
KH: I tell that to my daughter and second son all the time.
Hark: They got it from you!
KH: Sorry about that. Watch over them too, would you please?
Harold: Oh, they have their own angels as well. We just take care of you.
Hark: Sometimes God has us appear to people in their dreams (Genesis 28; Genesis 31:10-13; Matthew 1:20-21, 24-25; Matthew 2:13, 19-21, 22-23) and other times we come looking just like normal humans.
Harold: Gideon thought the angel was just a human (Judges 6:12-13) and so did Samson’s father (Judges 13:16). His wife was more alert to details. She knew it was a messenger from God (Judges 13:6).
KH: My wife says I’m not very alert to details lots of times.
Hark: You wouldn’t believe it if we told you how many times! That’s why God gave her to you.
KH: Tell God thanks. She’s the best gift I ever got!
Hark: Done!
KH: Wow! You are fast! Do people usually know when they are dealing with an angel?
Hark: Almost never. God is always sending out His angels to appear to people just to see how they will treat them. They often appear as strangers in need of help or hospitality (Hebrews 13:2). Abraham passed the test (Genesis 18:1-33) and so did Lot (Genesis 19:1-3).
Harold: The wicked men of his city failed the test badly (Genesis 19:4-11) so the angels dragged Lot’s family out just before God reigned fire and brimstone down on those cities (Genesis 19:24-29).
KH: I know. I have a few dozen of the sulfur balls from there. Ron Wyatt re-discovered the cities ( and gave them to me. It must have been hot that day!
Hark: You have not clue how bad it was! It will be even worse when God judges the whole earth!
KH: Has God sent angels as “strangers unawares” to me? (Hebrews 13:2)
Hark: Thousands of times.
KH: Have I passed the test?
Hark: Well… once in a while you do OK, but…
KH: That’s OK. Don’t tell me. I’ll work on that.
Hark: That would be my advice.
KH: So, you can take on any body that God tells you to, and look like anything God tells you to. Is that the way it is?
Hark: You got it.
KH: Do humans become angels when they die? My friend told me he thought his mother-in-law was an angel because she was always up in the air harping about something.
Hark: God was right. You do have a warped sense of humor!
KH: I know. I just can’t help myself sometimes. Sorry. Anyways…
Harold: There is no “s” in anyway.
KH: My bad. Anyway, do humans become angels when they die?
Hark: No. Humans and angels were both created by God, but we are different by design and always will be. Humans all inherit a sin nature from Adam. You all need to be redeemed. God made you a little lower than us angels (Psalm 8:4-5), but gave you dominion over the work of His hands. We already have access to God’s presence and throne. You will get that one day.
KH: I know. I can’t wait! I read that book 90 Minutes in Heaven. Wow! After that truck ran over that Baptist preacher and killed him he spent 90 minutes up there before God sent him back. He said it was beyond description!
Hark: It is. You humans are so limited right now. We feel sorry for you. You only have five senses to connect with the world.

Harold: And they are very limited!
Hark: Wait till you can feel and hear the colors and smell and taste the sounds. There is no way to describe it to you now.
KH: That’s what Paul said. He saw it and couldn’t wait to get back up there (II Corinthians 12:2-7; Philippians 1:21-24).
Hark: Oh, he’s up there now. He’s not an angel though. From what I can understand, he seems to be praising God on a different plane than angels do. This being “saved” and “forgiven” and “redeemed” seems to give humans something angels don’t have. Plus, right now you are “sons of God” in a different way than we are. But you won’t believe what you “shall be” (I John 3:1-3)!
Harold: Just that “hope” should make you live pure lives for the Lord (I John 3:3).

KH: How do you angels compare to humans?
Hark: Well, we were all created by God in the first week, but humans sinned by disobeying God and we did not.

KH: That’s good.

Hark: Yes, but, it makes us not understand your joy at being forgiven. We really long to look into these things (I Peter 1:12). We all rejoice when one sinner gets saved (Luke 15:10), but we don’t fully understand it. We don’t understand all the human emotions.
KH: Sort of like Spock on Star Trek?
Hark: Ah… no. We are alive and have personality. We are not just animated machines. We have freedom of choice. We just have always chosen to obey the Lord. We also have no rewards to earn or inheritance to look forward to. We see the piles of rewards up here for the faithful Christians as they grow each week and don’t fully understand all that either.
Harold: One big difference is that we never lose loved ones so we can’t experience the pain and suffering you go through when a loved one dies.
Hark: We look at death very differently. We think it’s great for you to get away from that limited body and sin-cursed world. The death of one of God’s children is precious to the Lord (Psalm 116:15), so it is precious to us as well. We sort of walk by sight. We see the joys of Heaven every day. You must walk by faith (II Corinthians 5:7).
KH: I noticed the angel at the tomb when Jesus arose was not as excited as Mary, Peter, and John (Luke 24, John 20).
Hark: Oh, we were excited, but in a different way. We know God always keeps His word so it was normal for us to believe He would rise. He said He would dozens of times, but those disciples were pretty slow to catch on.

KH: I’m pretty slow to just trust God’s Word myself sometimes.
Hark: Boy, that’s the truth! You are getting better though.
Harold: A little.
Hark: Some days. Keep reading the Word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Faith can be increased (Luke 17:5).
Harold: We also don’t suffer with worry and doubt like you humans do.

Hark: And we have no idea what it’s like to be overwhelmed with sorrow or a burden of guilt or failure.
Harold: We are also LOTS stronger than the strongest human. Just one of us killed 185,000 soldiers that were threatening God’s people one time (II Kings 19:35).
Hark: They got the message and left God’s people alone!
KH: That’s what I’ve been praying for in my case (Psalm 35:5).
Hark: Oh, God has heard your prayers! He said to tell you to relax. He’s got your back.

KH: I know, but It’s hard when you are in the lion’s den like I am.
Hark: We are watching over you 24/7.
KH: Thanks. So, are all angels good?
Hark: Originally all of us were good. At the end of day six, God said everything He made was “very good” (Genesis 1:31). The Bible refers to angels over 300 times. Nearly all of them are about good angels. Some angels did not keep their first estate (Jude 6) and rebelled against God. God has them “reserved in everlasting chains under darkness” (Jude 6) waiting the final judgment.
KH: I read that one-third of the angels followed Satan when he rebelled, but they get that number from Revelation 12:4 which seems to still be future. I don’t see how it can refer to the original fall.
Hark: That’s one issue God told us not to tell you. It keeps you digging into His Word. He likes it when you study to show yourself approved unto Him (II Timothy 2:15). God didn’t spare the ones that followed Satan (II Peter 2:4), but cast them down to hell. God made hell just for those fallen angels (Matthew 25:41).
KH: I’ve also heard that it was the fallen angels that are referred to in Genesis 6:2 where the “sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and took them wives . . .” There have been lots of theories created about that passage! What is the truth?
Hark: Sorry. Can’t help you. Keep studying.
KH: Rats! So what is the basic job description of an angel? What do you do all day?
Hark: In a sentence, we do whatever the Father wants done. He gives us whatever power and equipment we need to do the jobs He assigns to us.

KH: What are typical jobs.

Hark: One main job is to deliver messages for God. An angel gave a message to Hagar (Genesis 21) and to Abraham (Genesis 22:11) and to Moses (Exodus 3:2) and to scores of others in the Bible. We deliver LOTS of messages for the Lord.

KH: Doesn’t that sort of scare people when an angel shows up?
Hark: We try not to, but most people are a little startled, so normally the first words we speak are, “Fear not” (Genesis 15:1; 21:17). We are also sent by God to guide people quite often. We guided Abraham’s servant to find the right wife for Isaac (Genesis 24:7, 40) and tried to guide Balaam (Numbers 22), but he was pretty set on not obeying the Lord. It’s hard to guide someone who is set on doing evil. If someone seeks God’s wisdom and leadership, He is more than happy to send one of us to help and guide them. I don’t understand why you humans seem to always go off your own way and not even ask for guidance from the One who only wants the best for you.
KH: I don’t understand it either, Hark. I’ve done it myself hundreds of times and always end up regretting it. God’s way truly is best.
Hark: I know. It’s really pretty simple. We also are sent to protect God’s children from their enemies if God tells us to.
KH: Have you ever had to protect me?
Hark: Hundreds of times that you don’t even know about! Satan hates you and would love to kill you any way he could. We are assigned to minister to you (Hebrews 1:14), so we only let Satan get to you if God gives His personal OK.
KH: Thanks, guys.
Hark: You are welcome. We love the Lord and love to do whatever job he gives us. You are going to love living up there with Him forever!
KH: I can’t wait! I hope His coming is soon. It sure looks like everybody down here has gone crazy! If He doesn’t come soon, we will all kill each other!
Hark: He’s coming soon, but He wants more people saved! He’s only delaying to get more people to repent (II Peter 3:9).
KH: OK, I’ll go tell somebody today. Thanks for the info about angels, guys.

Hark – Harold: Our pleasure. We’ve got your back… under God’s direction.

To Dr. Kent Hovind: Please know that your hard work continues to make a positive impact upon this homeschooling, military family.

Your son is also such a blessing. We recently purchased “Beginnings” to add to our creation science library and are so thrilled with it! The way it condenses crucial information from your wonderful series along with new graphics even keeps our youngest child engaged. We have also watched(online) Eric’s debate presentation in CA, and are so glad that God has placed Creation Science Evangelism in such capable hands.

Also, we just read about about how you are leading people to Christ in prison. Are you in need of anything additional to facilitate in that endeavor (chick tracts, ect.)?

We pray for complete restoration of the Hovind family and we thank you all for what you do in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

I hope I can be like you… (i mean – in seeking the Lord’s direction)

Bro. Kent, you are the ultimate *teacher* – no matter the person or their learning abilities, you seem to always be able to impart the needed information in such a way as *all* can understand. Another person who has had great influence on my life is Richard Wurmbrand of Voice of the Martyrs (now in Glory). He spent 14 years in a dungeon prison being tortured for his faith. One of my favorite quotes from him is: “God will judge us not according to how much we ENDURED, but how much we could LOVE.” If Richard could love his jailers and tormentors in such an awful situation for so many years – why is it so hard for us to simply love our next door neighbors? I am thankful for people of faith like Richard and like you, helping us to see Truth and Light so we too can follow Him and tell the Good News! Grace and Shalom to you and your’s and His Name be glorified through you and in you.

My son tuned me to you and your studies and I have been blessed and letting them be viewed by others. I too, have been growing through hard times lately and going through decrease in pay and keeps getting down to where it looks like it will be only hourly and removing our commission. Large corporation which I know the Lord will reveal to you that is well known and reading your email just touched my heart and gave me encouragement because I want to quit but your message from your angels encouraged me. I too am slow at times to trust GOD… I minister it to others but advice for me is hard and I know that I am a light in darkness to those around me and need to be strong. I do read my and study my Bible at work inbetween calls and on breaks and lunch time. Right now studying deeply in Daniel and praying for the same Spirit that he had…that no matter what happened to him he never waivered on his trust in the Lord…I want that in my life.. Encouragement stated by the angel that they step back because God has a bigger purpose that God is working in you and HE knows what you need and to let HIM know what you want. It only comes through seeking GOD’S wisdom and leadership and knowing that HE is more willing to send an angel to help guide you. I want those experiences back in my life again and I had before. For I have seen Michael, the Archangel, heard Gabriel, and have witnessed the vision of Christ when I was at the age of 8 and age 33 under the forepass of Odessa, MO when HE said that HE was the Highway of my life and ascended up….I was ready to go home then. I too, would like to see my guardian angels and have conversations with them. What an encouragement and strengthening it would be… Verse keeps coming back to me when I first became a Christian on April 15, 1981 at 5:05 pm it was given to me from my soul winner friend, Gary Bowyer, PS. 34:19 — Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord will deliver him out of them all. Mr. Hovind, what to say thank you and how much you are impacting people to the truth and some of your greatest writings will come from where you are as it was with Paul. May the LORD bless and keep you in favor my friend.

Dear Dr.Hovind, What a great message about angels and God’s care for you and your family. The Lord lays you and your family and ministry and “your bonds” on my heart everyday to pray
about. I prayed He would free you today. If not, let His will be done. May the Lord bless you, your family, and your ministry(Alejandro). You have been nothing but a blessing and encouragement to be a faithful witness for Christ and His Church to me.
    Thank you,Chris
